Important Notice for Florida Nursing Home: Medicaid Cost Reports Filing for 10/1/2021 Rate

This is a reminder that The Agency for Health Care Administration did not extend their cost report filing deadline for rate setting purposes. Providers must submit their Medicaid cost reports by April 30th to be used for October 1, 2021 rate setting.

Cost reports submitted after the April 30, 2021 deadline will not be used for establishing the October 1, 2021 rate. Any increases related to property insurance and property taxes will not be included in calculation of the providers pass-through portion of the rate. In addition, any increases in hours per patient day for direct care staff will not be used in establishing direct quality points, if the reports are filed after 4/30 deadline.

Accordingly, we recommend that you attempt to have at least a draft of the cost report completed prior to the rate setting deadline so you can determine if it will impact your future rate.
