In an annual tradition started by Ray Preston Bolt - friends, family, colleagues, and supporters will gather on the links to celebrate and commemorate Ray's life and legacy. The proceeds from this annual charity golf tournament will go to fund cancer research and help Florida students achieve their dreams through financial scholarship awards. 

Ray was an MSL shareholder and was truly a unique individual who had an incredibly warm personality. He was a friend and mentor to both MSL staff and his clients. Every year, on April 16th or thereabouts, Ray would go golfing with friends and colleagues to celebrate the end of tax 'season'. It is the loss of Ray and the tradition that he started that we began this annual charity golf tournament in 2002 in his honor.

Ray was an integral part of MSL and was instrumental in building the Firm into what it is today. During his career, he was dedicated to not only serving his clients’ needs, the societal issues involving affordable healthcare for the senior community, various civic organizations, and his church, but also truly dedicated to higher education. Ray was an advocate for and worked diligently to support various educational institutions which included help with recruiting endeavors. Ray Bolt truly served as an inspiration for all of us, through his continued support of his fellow professionals and tireless dedication to his family, clients, and friends.

To ensure that Ray's legacy lives on, MSL developed the Ray Bolt Memorial Scholarships to benefit deserving undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Accounting. In the spirit of Ray, we hope the winners of these scholarships will not only become as successful as Ray Bolt in the Accounting profession but will take to heart the story behind the legend and will be as civic-minded as he was.

The criteria to be considered for a Ray Bolt Memorial Scholarship includes the student’s activities, community service, and grades.
