U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announces extension to the application filing deadline

Friday, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced an extension to the application filing deadline for the Medicaid, CHIP, and Dental Distributions of the COVID-19 Provider Relief Fund. The new deadline for filing this application is August 3, 2020. Per HHS, the payment to each provider will be approximately 2% of reported gross revenue. The actual amount of distribution will be determined after the data is submitted to the HHS portal.

Just as a reminder, these funds are available only to providers who have not received payment from the General Distribution to Medicare providers and have billed Medicaid or Medicaid managed care plans for health care-related services between January 1, 2018 – December 31, 2019.
