William Blend Appointed to the Florida Board of Accountancy

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed William Blend, CPA, CFE as a member of the Florida Board of Accountancy. "I am honored to be selected by Governor DeSantis to serve the state in this role," said Bill Blend, partner with MSL CPAs & Advisors. "I look forward to joining the other board members regulating the professional conduct of licensed individuals and protecting the public interest in matters of accountancy in Florida." The Florida Board of Accountancy (FLBOA) regulates Certified Public Accountants and Certified Public Accounting Firms for the State of Florida. 

As a partner with MSL, Bill, a certified public accountant and certified fraud examiner is a member of the Firm's Governmental Practice Group with over 23 years of public and private sector accounting experience. His expertise includes in-depth knowledge of audit and compliance in the government sector. Bill has deep experience performing audits on many governmental entities, including counties, municipalities, utilities, airports, and special districts. Blend is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Public Accountants. Blend is also a member of the Florida Government Finance Officers Association, the Seminole County Chamber of Commerce, and the Seminole State College Advisory Board. He served in and received an honorable discharge from the United States Navy before earning his bachelor's degree in accounting from Long Island University.
