Position: Tax Manager
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Tax Manager at MSL, you will play a crucial role in leading and executing audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. You will oversee a team of talented professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and mentor a team of high-quality staff.
Deliver a comprehensive range of tax services in full compliance with laws and regulations within specified timeframes.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, offering expert planning and consulting.
Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns.
Identify and mitigate tax risks.
Coordinate the efforts of the accounting staff and assess their performance.
Manage the tax provision and tax compliance process.
Enhance processes by developing and implementing best practices.
Oversee and coordinate tax audits.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting from a regionally accredited college or university.
Five to eight years of public accounting experience
Active state Certified Public Accountant license or equivalent recognized by the firm (e.g. Chartered Professional Accountant) required.
Active driver’s license and proof of insurance
Proven track record of managing multiple clients.
Excellent communication, leadership, and client service skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Preferred practice areas of experience:
Healthcare (Long-term care, Senior housing, Hospitals & health systems, Physician practices, and Community-based healthcare)
Middle-Market (High Tech, Manufacturing, Professional services, High net worth individuals, Tourism and hospitality)
