Dan O’Keefe appointed to Seminole State College District Board of Trustees

Daniel O’Keefe has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Seminole State College District Board of Trustees for a four-year term. O’Keefe, 62, of Longwood, has served as the managing shareholder for the Orlando office of MSL CPAs & Advisors since 2005.
O’Keefe is recognized as one of the top public-sector instructors in the state of Florida with over 40 years of public accounting experience. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Orlando Economic Partnership and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA), Florida Government Finance Officers Association (FGFOA) and Government Finance Officers Association.
O’Keefe also served as board chairman of the Foundation for Seminole State College in 2012 and is a past member of the Florida Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Governors. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, and an MBA from Florida State University.
O’Keefe’s appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate. O’Keefe replaces Wendy Brandon, whose term officially ended May 31.
The Board of Trustees, made up of members appointed by the governor and confirmed by the Florida Senate, meets monthly to oversee the operations of the College.
