Kevin Murphy is a Shareholder and President of MSL and serves on the Firm’s board of directors as vice chairman. Kevin has over 30 years of audit and accounting experience with MSL and is the Firm’s Securities and Corporate Finance Practice Group leader. Prior to joining MSL, Kevin worked in the SEC/shareholder reporting department of a Fortune 500 company.

Kevin oversees the audits of many of the Firm’s publicly-traded clients. He deals with complex reporting and compliance issues and works to ensure compliance with SEC, PCAOB, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

Kevin also leads the Firm’s Employee Benefit Plan Practice Group and in this role serves as the audit shareholder for approximately 40 employee benefit plan audits, working closely with client management, third-party administrators, ERISA counsel, the IRS, and the DOL to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations. Kevin has overall responsibility for quality assurance for all of the Firm’s employee benefit plan audit engagements.
