Mike serves in a Commission Auditor capacity for municipalities within the state of Florida and provides fraud-prevention-and-detection presentations to compliance committees. Why did you choose MSL over other firms? I had the opportunity to begin my career and become an audit manager with one of the largest public accounting firms in the world prior to joining MSL. What attracted me to MSL was the opportunity to still operate with the resources of a global firm, through our affiliation with Moore Stephens International, but offer the personalized client service that I truly enjoy. MSL has been Florida’s firm of choice since our inception and our excellent client service, and responsiveness is a key reason why.
What do you enjoy most about working at MSL? Life is all about relationships and MSL is no different. The two most important assets we have at MSL are our clients and our people. Those relationships are priceless, and we strive to strengthen and enhance them every day. We have fantastic clients and phenomenal people. I truly enjoy being a trusted advisor to our clients and a valuable resource to my colleagues. My time at MSL has allowed me to expand the number of great relationships I have in my life, and that is what I enjoy most about being a part of the MSL family.

How do you unwind when you have free time? My wife and I live in Fort Lauderdale, so there are many great options readily available to help us unwind. My favorite of these options is sitting on our balcony at the end of the week with a tasty beverage and watching the boats drift down the New River. Very relaxing.
Do you have a favorite sport or team? My wife and I are passionate college football fans. College football to me has the most exciting and meaningful regular season of any sport. Every week is essentially a must-win playoff game, and it creates a level of importance and excitement that is unmatched. We have attended more FSU football games than I can remember. Also, we take an annual college football trip to a university we have never been to before to experience the city, campus, and game day atmosphere. We have had the opportunity to visit some of the most premier venues in all of college football. There is a pageantry and passion that is associated with college football that I think is second to no other sport. Also, this annual trip allows us to experience the culture, food, and sites of a new city. Fall is my favorite time of year. The weather is the most enjoyable, there are great holidays, and most importantly – there is college football.
